The doctors, nurses, and specialists at BMI Surgery have one of the most comprehensive obesity and minimally invasive surgery practices in the nation.
Bariatric and Minimally Invasive (BMI) Surgery and Silver Cross Hospital’s weight loss surgery program has been named as a Center of Excellence by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS). The ASBS Center of Excellence designation recognizes programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric (gastric bypass) weight loss surgery. Our program is one of only six in Illinois and the only bariatric surgery program in Will, Grundy, Kankakee and Southwest Cook Counties that has been recognized as a Center of Excellence.
To earn a Center of Excellence designation, BMI Surgery and Silver Cross underwent a series of site inspections during which all aspects of the program’s surgical processes were closely examined and data on health outcomes was collected.
CFCo Announces Agency of Record for Dr. Michael A. Epstein
We are thrilled to announce agency of record for Dr. Michael A. Epstein, MAE Plastic Surgery, Transcend MedSpa, North Shore Hair Restoration and Northbrook Plastic Surgery. Dr. Epstein is a recipient of the prestigious Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” award for Excellence in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Epstein received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He trained in general surgery at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and returned to Detroit for his Plastic Surgery fellowship. He received additional cosmetic surgery training at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York and holds an academic position at the University of Chicago’s Department of Plastic Surgery.
An active member of the prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Epstein has received critical acclaim for his advanced techniques in cosmetic surgery. A featured guest on numerous news programs and quoted in dozens of newspapers and magazinesnationwide, including ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, Dr. Epstein was also invited to speak on Oprah After The Show. He has been profiled on Discovery Channel programs as cameras followed him, step-by-step, through various cosmeticprocedures. Just for fun, Dr. Epstein was voted as one of the top 5 “hot” doctors in Chicago by the Chicago Tribune.
Someone who always gives back to the community, Dr. Epstein has received praise for his generous community work and affiliations with such organizations as Y-Me and the Sue Duncan Children’s Foundation. He was co-founder of Chicago’s Esteem Makeover, and participated as one of the team’s cosmetic surgeons. He’s also performed numerous pro-bono surgeries for people in need.
